Spring is a warm sigh
Melting the frosty snow that
Hides the slumbering flowers
Escorting winter out of the back door
Spring is a wake up call to those tweeters in the trees
Spring is when we feel the smile of the sun,
Beaming rays reaching far and wide
Spring means more colour, new life and vigor
More walks, picnics in the parks
And wild bicycle rides chasing the neighbour’s cat
Spring is a pleasant tingly feeling I feel inside
When the Earth wakes up from her cold long nap
That makes me want to jump up and yell
Get up and get out, get running
Spring is here again!

I originally wrote this for the May Theme Post on the blog The Dark Globe where I’ve recently joined the crew of writers, reviewers and photographers. It’s like a newspaper and we’re the journalists doing our stuff (and I love this because it kind of satisfies my longing to be a reporter/journalist) covering a wide variety of topics. There’s also the occasional writing competitions, that’s how I discovered The Dark Globe, when I’d gone over to check Daphne’s story, she won! So what ya waiting for, click on over and check us out!
By the way, I took out the photo at the local S-Mart, if you enlarge it you’ll see it’s a bit blurry due to the not so good lighting conditions because it was rainy that day.
Enjoy the sunshine!
